Also, with the MagiQuest system, extra accessories are sold to "enhance" the power of their wands. This could be what the extra stuff at Dervish and Bangs is. I guess after you get your wand they ship you off to DaB to get you out of Ollivanders and spending more money.

Yeah I just looked up and there's a kinda reddish ring around the moon. It's almost full too. Weird.

I absolutely love the rainbow shot. It was not such a good day for me but that pic definitely made it better!

I will definitely be getting a wand. I looked it up and mine will be oak based. The oak tree in my yard is looking a little worried since I gave it the evil "creative" eye earlier. LOL

I know the wands at Nobel Collection are like $35 or so. So I would shell out money for my own wand and experience of it all. I think the appointment thing is a good idea. I will probably be over in the Owlery making out postcards to send out from Hogsmead while I wait.

OT but kind of not, My daughter wants a HP birthday party this year. I am going to make the invitations to look like Hogwarts acceptance letters and I had the idea of mailing them out from Hogsmead. Unfortunately, her birthday is only 2 weeks after our trip so it would be last minute. Hmmmm, maybe I'll send out regular invites and then still do acceptance letters to be mailed out from there as well. That's an opportunity I can't pass up.

ETA: Just had an idea. Do you guys think that they will sale stamps at the Owl Post? Maybe they might be HP themed.... Just an idea. That would be great to use on the postcards and inviations.

by "looking into" adding interaction, i think they actually meant that universal hasn't made a final call. but things like that could potentially be added last minute, maybe only needing a few days to a week to install. depending on the level of interaction they intend with the wands. personally, i'd love to be able to "alohomora" an upstairs window and see it shoot open. but that's just wishful thinking.

i wonder if you'll be able to swap out the wand that 'chooses' you if you don't care for it. they'd have to provide for that. some people are picky. ;)

i saw it but i didn't happen to get any good pics of it, and the exterior looks very much the same as it has been. i think most of the work in the owlery has shifted to the interior
