Seeing the scaffolding being taken down on Hogwarts makes me feel like we're getting so much closer to opening date! SO EXCITING!!! :D

On a little side note, the Powerade bottles remain in the small tower thingy to the side of the Great Hall and the courtyard! LOL! I wonder if they have realized those are there... Also, I don't like how the bottom of that tower looks. The rock-brick wallpaper on the bottom looks all weird. I hope they make it look nicer by putting rocks to cover that. They still have the Great Hall floating above the rocks, so I am confident we will see more work and finishing touches getting done to that side of the castle, even if the lack of scaffolding makes it seem that the work is done there.

That's what I say, it's kinda weird to see the Great Hall floating above the rocks, so I guess they will put the floor around the Hall, like in this pic:

I bet this is where they plan to put the plants so that they are out of the way a little bit.

If you mean the side covered area that's not over the ramp, it seems like that is how the line gets back to that area from the front of the castle. I assume they'll pour concrete for a path under there because JP is where all the picture are taken from and you wouldn't exit or enter from there.

You know, with all that space, they could be building more greenhouses soon. It could happen, and it would be more similar to the movie Hogwarts. Then the queue would be covered longer, and guests would be less exposed to the Florida storms.

you can see here the detail of the bricks on the conrners of the walls, and then on top of the walls a hollowed out area fit for man-eating plants and screaming mandrakes

There are two doors on the mystery box building, so I think we'll most likely be going out one, go around the covered patio place, which I think is the greenhouse, and then go back in the other door. I don't think we'll be going from this area to the front of the castle because remember that both the entrance and the exit to the attraction are in front of the building, so we exit from the inside, not by going around to the front. Here's the model where you can see it:




Also, I don't think that the mysterious covered outdoor area could be an overflow or other type of queue entrance for the fact that it has two doors. If it was another entrance to the attraction, it would only have one door to go into the building. I guess it could be argued that one door might be a regular entrance and one an express entrance, but I don't think this is the case. I'm 99% convinced the mystery covered patio is part of the queue and that it's going to be the greenhouse exhibit.

PS: HeMax, looking at the model pic, I think you are correct about the walkway around the Great Hall and that being the reason why the GH is still 'floating.'

I guess they will put the floor around the Hall, like in this pic:

looking at the model, it looks like they will be putting that walkway out around the great hall. also, i agree that the two doorways by the greenhouses are in/out, and we'll have to loop through the greenhouse as one of the queue scenes.

More Potter Pics! Word of advice (I know of you guys have already mentioned this briefly), Potter pics after 1:30pm are brutal for Hogwarts shots since the Sun starts getting behind the castle. Anywho, enjoy!

Thanks BriMan... those are fantastic and telling pictures... It shows that someone wasn't completely satisfied with the result of the rock work... they are jamming yet more rebar into finished sculpture which means there will be another recoating and resculpting.

And BriMan BriMan Briman.... how in hell did you get this picture.... it is as if you were part of the construction crew!



And that big old tree in the center is the Araucaria Bidwillii that I spoke of earlier and it does in fact date from the Jurassic period.

And also, someone posted here that the earlier picture here by Orndurf was the entrance when I am quite sure it is the exit. The hole to the left of BriMans photo is the entrance.

Glad you enjoy the update guys. I couldn't take a picture due to the sun beaming right on it, but a lot of the scaffolding around the buildings near the LC Archway has been taken down. Spring is just around the corner.
