Thanks for the update, Briman.I'm glad to see The Flight of the Hippogriff being worked on. It looks like Hogsmeade has been worked on even more by the DD entrance.
Am I the only one who stares at Griffindor Tower and just has their mind blown every single time?
Griffindor Tower is seriously so unreal. It looks too much like the movies lol. I am amazed looking at pictures. What's going to happen when I actually go there when it's open?!
I might die of awe.
I doubt it, saying they have lightning rods coming from the center, but anyone think that some of the chimneys in Hogsmeade may "smoke"?
Really appreciated BriMan.
I cannot figure out where they are going with this:
Nice to see that the work on the great hall is completed and scaffolding is coming down.
^If they really want make that authentic feel...better, than yes they should.
But they shouldn't use real smoke from coal. It should be something safer like fog smoke.
Someone should show this thing to J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros. so that they can demand that Universal do something similar (or better)!!
EDIT: By the way, did anyone else notice that this thing seems to completely ignore the idea of a forced perspective? I mean, it's just huge by any standards. I love it!
Throw 60,000 Chinese construction workers at a theme park project and there is no need for forced perspective. Forced Labor, yes... but not forced perspective...
Edit: Notice the air quality there? It looks like LA back in the 1970's. Ooooh yeah... I want to go to Beijing really soon... It looks like such a nice place of freedom and permissive law. There is probably a sign outside this roller coaster, one like the ones we have here that say, "No Photography". But there, it says, "No vomiting! All violators will receive 10 yeeah in prison follow by 10 yeeah hahd laybah building new theme park attraction."
No thank you. I am quite impressed and thrilled with IOA.

How much do you guys think that this worker could get for his shirt on eBay?
i was there the day tom felton shot the webcast, and i had a brief chance to meet him and shake hands and whatnot. right after that i noticed they were putting the chimneys up, and they are all just one big piece. There's no way they could get smoke out of them. It's unfortunate, but it won't be a deal-breaker for me.

if i let him get that far.
no, unfortunately i forgot to bring my telescopic zoom lens.
but there were no wires or any kind of cabling going up the chimney pipes that would connect with the chimneys to power any smoke/fog devices.

but let me be the first to say that i hope i'm wrong about the smoke effects, because i really do want to see them. i'm just reporting what i witnessed while i was there.
