Everyone tells me I look like Harry Potter so I thought it would be cool to work there, even though I wouldn't get to be Harry specifically.
I don't know if I still want to work there (its kind of a long commute) but I might go to the audition just to get some insider info. :)
Yeah, although Screamscape has deleted that particular post, I managed to somehow remember "Snow Masters" and a Google search led me to their main site. FYI, their sister companies supply fog effects for parks as well as artificial scents that are misted during an attraction, like I think that Dinosaur at AK does this for an even more realistic pre-historic environment (never been on it). Could we be smelling the stress and agony filled moments of the Potter movies when certain scent could intensify another feeling?
Scent should completely be a major factor within the wizarding world. The outside of each place to buy food should have a scent of what it sells, and the owlery should smell like a bird habitat. Ollivanders should smell like old wood, maybe a hint of pipe. Hogsmeade should have a smell of 'cleanliness' since it represents the purity of the color white. The castle as you're walking up should smell like pines, and when inside, it should smell very rustic and old, like a moldy smell, but one that is fairly likable. The ride in and of itself should have smells like Soarin' does. Smell would be a perfect addition.
I bet the rockwork will come out on the right side of the castle far enough to keep the building from being seen.
It'd be cool if they added forced perspective with the hills and mountains. :]
They are already using forced perspective with Hogwarts castle because a "full scale" Hogwarts from the movies would be four to five time larger that Forbidden Journey's facade. Do you mean the background Scottish hills from this 3D computer generated concept with Dan Radcliffe?
Far fetched, but Universal could revamp the existing sound barrier wall behind Dragon Challenge coasters, extend it, place a rolling hill graphic on it, and make the top curvy to look like hills. The Bing map views of the wall:

And that would be the coolest football field ever... whoever's high school that is, I'm super jealous :)
