(3/1/12) China’s sixth-largest city, Tianjin, has been meeting with Comcast / NBC Universal about a joint venture to build a possible theme park and studio in the port city. The government group claims they will meet with other Hollywood studios at a later date before they make a final decision on how to proceed with the project.

I think Universal's Asia strategy is working quiet well.

Universal Studios Japan- the most visited Universal park in the World
Universal Studios Singapore - seems extremely popular so far
Universal Studios Korea - in the works

Universal Studios China - seems like a natural at this point

Universal needs to work harder on endearing it's characters and intellectual property to it's guests. But overall it seems their Asia strategy is working, and working well.
