Is that roller coaster next to Dumbo the Barnstormer. I fell bad that they are going to strip it to nothing for it to look like Dumbo. I wish that they would keep and make it fit into the new fantasyland.

Isn't one of California Adventure's main complaints the fact that they have a roller coaster that looks like a real wooden roller coaster, which supposedly doesn't belong in a Disney park...?

Why can't a coaster belong in a Disney park. If it fits the theme / story, build it. Walt Disney didn't want them at the time because he didn't have a story around them. Paradise Pier is themed to the California Boardwalks, many of which have coasters. Fairs also have coasters, so I think that this would look just fine.

If ride already has a good theme and goes through a barn with chickens why strip it down? And I think the problem with California Adventure was that they went too generic. It wasn't jsut the coaster but people didn't like that Disney made a more relaxed theme that let them make the rides simpler.

More details involving the expansion were discussed last night at the D23 Anniversary Event. You can find the summary here: http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disney-...ps-bombshells/

Good to hear that they are trying to keep boys in mind with this project as well but I'm still not sure how they'll do it.

Caifornia Screamin' is by no means a simple ride. It is way more complex than any normal coaster.

    Simple in terms of themeing.

A theme can't be considered simple if it is used to extend the story. The roller coaster fits perfectly in that land. Simple themeing is what the barnstormer currently has. Making it look more like a wooden coaster would be better than the airplanes flying on green, unthemed track.

    Thanks Samuele.

It sure doesn't look very nice with all the walls and coverings in each land. It seems like a little too much at one time.

    One thing
I don't get about Disney is that they don't have a ride themed around Mickey Mouse, I mean it there signiture character and he don't even have a ride for him. Also they are over using their rides systems like the omnimover which is already used at least three times at WDW and they are adding another one.

This whole expansion seems like its a rushed attempt to compete with the WWOHP. I mean there are too many meet n great areas, when they could have one or two that could be home to all the characters and it would save them money, and not destroy it. Also it way too much on the side for young girls. Its not a big target group while the WWOHP will work with all ages.
