According to WFTV, a Cast Member rehearsing for the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular fell earlier today and was pronounced dead just moments ago. My thoughts and prayers go out to the CM's family, friends, and co-workers.

It would be interesting to learn more. Not sure how someone could die in that show.

Rescue crews transported the man to Florida Hospital Celebration around 9 o'clock, Monday night.

Disney confirmed the man had died about two hours later.

Sources say the performer was injured while doing a tumbling stunt during a rehearsal for the "Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular" show.

Six years ago, guests at the same show watched a performer fall to the ground from a rope as high as 20 feet up.

This latest accident is the third disturbing incident involving the death of a Disney worker in less than two months.

47-year-old, Mark Priest, died on August 10th after he fell while doing the Captain Jack's pirate tutorial for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

On the fourth of July, 21-year-old monorail pilot Austen Wunnenberg died when two of the trains collided.

Disney has notified the Occupational Health and Safety Administration about the accident.

It will likely join the Orange County Sheriff's Office's investigation.

Disney also released a statement saying its thoughts and prayers are with this man's friends, family, and coworkers.

If you're heading to DHS today, note that Indy will remain closed today out of respect for the Cast Member and for the investigation.

Apparently the death stemmed from doing a tumbling flip in rehearsal that went wrong, resulting in the poor guy landing on his head. He was sent to the hospital, where he died several hours later.

The show is only closed today (well, yesterday now) and should be open on Wednesday.

Actually, according to the Cast Member portal, Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular will NOT be performed today (Wednesday).

That contridicts what was said on the news tonight- but is that show *really* valuable enough to debate over? Not to me, that's for sure! :bonk:

Regardless, the show will be closed today to those that are going to DHS. Additional shows of Beauty and LMAX have been added.

For what it's worth, saying it's closed "out of respect" is somewhat absurd PR fluff. It's closed because it's under investigation to make sure the stunts performed are safe - something in itself that's a bit absurd in my mind since the show has been performed for TWENTY years now. It was an unfortunate accident, but just an accident none the less.

This is very sad news. Prayers and thoughts go out to the actor's family.
