Interested in getting your voice heard on the world wide web? Now is your chance. We have decided that we would like to bring back the OU Podcast. That said, Sledge nor myself have the time to dedicate to the podcast. So we would like to give our members a chance. We could do it the boring old way and just choose whomever, but we like to make it interesting. So if you have a mic and a recording program, submit your entry.

Make it a 2 minute long promo with anything you want to discuss that's related to theme parks.Just make it interesting.
If you do win, you have to be able to record a podcast monthly.
This isn't Staff Search 2009
All the entries will be posted on here for all of us to enjoy. There is a catch however. If the submissions we hear aren't up to par to the quality we would like the OU podcast to be, we may not pick anyone at all.

Please submit all your entries ouradio@orlandounited.com with the title "Podcast Host"

Good luck to all who decide to enter!

I'd be more interested if there were several people as opposed to one or two hosts, but I'm glad it's potentially coming back.

When are these "due"?

There is no date. Just whenever you can get it sent in I guess. We know it's a hectic month for most so we don't want to set an exact date. We could probably be looking for the right people for 2 months..

What is a good way of recording a podcast?

What is a good way of recording a podcast?

If you've got a Mac, GarageBand is the easy, free solution. For Windows, you can either use Speech Recorder or Audacity (Speech Recorder should be with your computer, and Audacity is a free download). Just warning you, this is just so you can record your voice quickly, easily, and freely. Adding music, etc. will take more time and possibly other programs, unless you learn to use Audacity.

Are you guys going to make it the same people every month? Or would you actually be open to rotating hosts if there were several really good entries? that would also give some people a break if they had other things going on.

I really am hoping for 3 hosts. I might just have to involve myself somehow.

Usually I would be the 1st person to do this but I really don't know if I am. With college and my own project I really don't know if I have the time. Plus I don't want to buy Pamela and that is probably the best recording soft ware.

Well the Apple store gives student discounts. So I bought my macbook and got a free printer for cheap. Plus I have garage band and ichat!

I'm getting my car fixed now and I'm listening to the first podcast on my iPhone while waiting. It's a classic!

I think that was canceled when we decided to put it on hiatus. Although you can still listen to it on the front page.
