To the Orlando United staff and fellow members:

The Staff Search 2008 contest has meant a great deal to me. Not only am I running against some of the coolest people ever, but I finally have a purpose in life to push myself to be the best. Sure, I know that being a staff member of a message board may not be as important as, say, President of the United States, but to me, it’s just as equally important. My abilities to help maintain a successful message board, my general personality traits, and unique and adept skills will help me to prove to YOU, the OU reader, to select me as the first Staff Member.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have started to develop my own Web site devoted to the Walt Disney World Resort. I believe that to attract people to the site, you should have a message board in order to entice discussion related to the resort in general and other “mousellaneous” stuff. So far, only an astonishing 7 people have joined the Disney Dreams Community, but I know more people will join once the site is up. I ran a Cher community for the past several months which has over 50 members and no rule breaking takes place. As a staff member, I will make sure that every post on the board is friendly and “PG-13” rated as per the Administrators. Also, I plan on trying to organize fun online (and even in-park) events for the members here at Orlando United.

From the past 2 almost 3 months that I have been a member at OU, I hope many of you have realized that I am a kind, noble person with a good heart and a passion for helping those in need of questions answered, thoughts addressed, and concerns voiced. I am an avid supporter of making sure all thoughts/suggestions/comments being heard by the right people, and I know I can help anyone with anything relating to the previously mentioned items. OU needs a staff member who is willing to provide the extra “staff service” to those that are in need of help with something relating to the site, forums, or the parks in general. In addition to the wonderful head honchos, we need to add another happy, caring person to the staff. I feel that could be me. I’m not sure what you all feel—cold, hot, hungry, tired? But, I hope that you will consider me.

Computer skills are essential as to helping develop a thriving Web site. With my adept skills with Photoshop and my basic HTML knowledge, I know that Brian and Jason are able to depend on me for any assistance they may need in any way. Furthermore, I realize that as part of the Staff Search, the potential staff member will have his/her own column. I am willing to bring something that is enjoyable and well-recognized by peers and administrators alike to the forum.

With previous experience, traits that everyone looks for in a staff member, and my adept skills, I am sure that I could be the best staff leader OU has and will ever see (besides the bosses!) I urge everyone to consider what I have said to you and think of what is best for the OU community. Just remember….”It all started with a…united community.”
