#1 - Explain why or why
not Disney/Universal/SeaWorld (pick one or do each) need another park
to add to what they already have in Orlando, and give ideas about
what kind of park it would be.
As months and years progress,
the major theme parks in the Orlando area have started to push out
new attractions and other amenities in order to entice tourists to
return or to visit their parks for their very first time. What is
really needed to help further attraction development is another theme
park. Universal and Sea World both are set with theme parks. Is it
time for Walt Disney World to build a 5th gate?
To the Disney executives
I am speaking with today, I believe that WDW has so many potential
ideas to make into a theme park, but they are basically holding back
due to the current state of our nation's economy. However, I think
that a 5th gate could help generate much needed revenue for the country
and for the Company as well. Walt Disney World has built a legacy
on creating attractions that win the hearts of those who make annual
pilgrimages to the 4-park, 20+ hotel-filled resort. Sure, we have
received a ton of wonderful (and 1 that is just not so wonderful *cough*Stitch's
Great Escape*cough*) attractions, but what really is needed by WDW
is another park.
So, Disney executives,
I have a proposition for you. Instead of the proposed "Night
Kingdom" rumor going around on many fan sites, why not consider
this idea-a theme park devoted to the Disney Villains? This is a rumor
that has been around Disney enthusiasts for several years now, and
I think you, the Disney execs, can really cash in on. The park would
be comprised of dark rides and thrill rides, with the major attractions
being high-tech, thrilling roller coasters. I haven't thought of a
title for the park, so I will leave that to you to imagine.
As you walk into the park,
you are surrounded by theming from some of the popular Disney movies
which have villains in the films, such as "Hercules", "Sleeping
Beauty", and "The Little Mermaid." The rides could
be divided up into sections (i.e. the sections of Islands of Adventure)
or they could just be left alone with no formal listing under a section
name. The major roller coasters should focus mostly on the primary
villains, such as Maleficent, Captain Hook, the Wicked Queen, etc.
The secondary villains should receive a portion of the smaller dark
rides.
I can see what you are
thinking. You are thinking, "A villain-themed Disney park with
roller coasters and other thrill rides? Impossible! That's not Disney!"
Well, Mr. (or Mrs.) Executive, I think you have the potential to make
this park as Disneyesque as possible. If you desire to have another
"Fantasmic!" show put in the park, so be it. Or, a novel
idea-move Fantasmic! from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Villains in
Vogue or whatever you want to call the new park. If you consider doing
this, then I think this may give you the "Disney" feeling
that the park could have if you include Sorcerer Mickey battling it
out with the villains. The 2nd idea I had is to create an all new
nighttime extravaganza featuring the heroes and villains, where the
good guys end up being defeated and outnumbered by everyone's favorite
villains? This proposed idea for a nighttime show may help spurn interest
and create excitement for Disney villain enthusiasts everywhere!
The addition of a thrill-ride
oriented park will entice teenagers and adults who have fled WDW in
terms of seeking thrills at Universal Studios (Yes, I dared say the
name of the rival park), as well as bring together and unite thousands
of Villains fans and engage in ongoing conversations about the unique
and well-designed attractions, shows, and theming of the Villains
park. I hope that you will one day consider building a park such as
the one I have proposed, and maybe you will thank me for proposing
such a wonderful park. Good day to you.
