The Doctor Is In: Phobia Exposure Project
By Patrick The Patchman
Well little kiddies, a new Halloween Horror Nights 18 website update has occurred. Some theories are proved even more, while new ones are at it. Let’s get cracking.
Remember the little book? Now that book is clickable. If you click the book you get an interesting loading screen. It's a clock going backwards. To what year? 1958. Here it is:

It appears that the masterminds behind this date want us to focus on this. I think a part of the scare zones will be 50's themeing. Research has been done to show that a lot of experimental treatment for the insane was during this period. Can you say, “shock therapy?” Also, the name Interstellar Terror sounds like the corny names of alien and monster movies from this era too. The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Tingler, Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc. I am thinking Roswell type of stuff for Interstellar Terror.
Anyway, we are shown the July 1958 folder and there is a letter. The letter looks like this:

Here is what it reads:
N.A.M.H.
National Association
Of Mental Health.
June 26, 1958
RE: Phobia Exposure Therapy Project grant application 48-278
Dear Applicant,
It is with much regret that I must inform you that your application for a grant funding the above referenced project has been denied.
By unanimous decision, all 13 board members agreed that your proposal to conduct experimental immersive phobia therapy is far too unorthodox for the National Association of Mental Health to participate in or be associated with.
On a personal note, I am compelled to say that I am deeply disturbed by the rumors to the effect that you plan to carry on with the project even if our association denies funding.
You simply cannot foresee the danger to patients that might exist if immersive technique is administered in any setting other than a recognized clinical research facility.
Sincerely,
Dr. Gustav Heim
Director, N.A.M.H.
Ok wow, that's a lot of info. First off look at the title; "Phobia Exposure Therapy Project". Remember the theory that The Doctor would immerse people in their fear/phobia to try and treat them in a twisted way. It also says that it is dangerous to use this immersive technique in any other setting other than a recognized research facility. Did he plan to take them to places to scare them to death? It sounds like, we will be the patients, and we will be taken to these locations to try and be "treated". Sounds awesome
Now there is another letter on the desk that is mostly cut out, but there are some very interesting tidbits. The letter says will and testament on it. Says, the sum of, and then says grandmother. I guess the Doctor's grandmother died. It also says inventory. Here is the list:
1 jewelry box
1 sterling silver hairbrush
1 crystal atomizer (Waterfo-cut off.
1 antique German Silver Dres-cut off.
1 American silver mounted co-cut off.
Assorted Antique Silver Overlay
It looks like his grandmother loved sliver. I think this has some sort of significance to his grandmother and himself. Also, notice there are German and American items. The music in the background sound German classical to me. Dr. Gustav Heim sounds like a German name. Could he be a German immigrant? Or could he be in Germany? It's a wild guess. Another wild theory that I like is that The Storyteller, some believe, is the grandmother of the doctor. That would be interesting, but isn't The Storyteller alive? After all, Jack was dead and he came back.
See you all next appointment.
